Record Results and Strategic Progress at Heckler & Koch

  • Sales: 343.4 million Euro
  • Operating result (EBITDA): 63.1 million Euro
  • Net income after taxes (EAT): 31.5 million Euro
  • HK100 investment program nearing successful completion
  • Western alliance security forces rely on Heckler & Koch

The continued high demand for modern and reliable small arms led Heckler & Koch to achieve new record highs in order intake, sales, and earnings in the 2024 fiscal year. Order intake reached an unprecedented high in the company's history at 426.2 million euros (previous year 2023: 285.3 million euros (+49.4%)). This is a clear sign of the great trust that security forces in Germany, Europe, and within the transatlantic alliance place in Heckler & Koch. This exceptionally high order intake formed the basis for strong sales growth: with 343.4 million euros, Heckler & Koch achieved the highest annual sales in the company's history (previous year 2023: 301.4 million euros (+13.9%)). Profitability also developed positively. The operating result (EBITDA) stood at 63.1 million euros (previous year 2023: 62.2 million euros (+1.4%)), exceeding expectations while maintaining high profitability. Net income after taxes (EAT) rose to 31.5 million euros (previous year 2023: 28.7 million euros (+9.6%)).

“Our company is strategically well positioned to continue growing in a challenging environment,” explains CEO Dr.-Ing. Jens Bodo Koch. “The demand for our products shows that internal and external security are currently under considerable pressure. The security forces in our Western community of values face major challenges in fulfilling their core mission of protecting the population. For this, the men and women who serve our society need and deserve the best personal equipment. This is clearly reflected in our business figures.”

The investments in the Oberndorf site have paid off. With the successful completion of the HK100 future program (investment volume of 100 million euros from 2020 to 2025), Heckler & Koch will be optimally positioned, both technologically and structurally, for the coming years. The acquisition of Chrom-Müller Metallveredelung GmbH also contributes to the diversification of the business and the stabilization of supply chains - another building block in the long-term strategy to strengthen competitiveness.

CFO Andreas Schnautz emphasizes: “The 2024 fiscal year underlines the economic stability of our company. Despite high investments and strategic acquisitions, we were able to maintain our solid profitability. This provides us with the necessary financial flexibility for sustainable further development.”

CSO Marco Geißinger adds: “In 2024, Heckler & Koch was again able to win numerous contracts in competitive tenders, including the tender for the short-range precision semi-automatic rifle for the Bundeswehr special forces (G210) and for the suppressed special weapon (G39). Special forces are the Formula 1 teams of weapon development, so these contracts are always associated with a great deal of prestige. They show that our products enjoy the highest recognition.”

Looking ahead to the new financial year, CEO Dr. Koch is optimistic: “The exceptionally high order intake is a key driver of our business in 2025. The numerous major orders also mean that we can continue to strategically expand our production processes. I expect that we will be able to further increase our efficiency in 2025. As a transatlantic company, we are placing particular focus on our business in the USA, which we will continue to strengthen in both the government and civil markets during the current fiscal year. Our fundamental orientation at our headquarters in Oberndorf toward government and military customers means we are well positioned to best meet the long-term high demand of our customers with products and services.”
